We all should be swimming in UWP emulators (like there are steam emulators) right now but we're not. So not only is there demand for some microsoft games, but there is immense karma/reputation to be earned by sticking it to one of the most evil corporation out there that's actively trying to “curtail user's freedom to install full-featured PC software, and subvert the rights of developers and publishers to maintain a direct relationship with their customers.” The original Gears of War developer have publicly stated that “Microsoft is moving against the entire PC (gaming) industry" with their UWP only games restriction. People want to play Forza and Gears of war. Imho microsoft is financing them to not crack it.
